Faze troops have been stationed south of Opuran territory in case the civil war should be fought near the Faze border. If either the rebellion or their enemies attack Fazastan, war will be declared despite some of the southeastern provinces not believing in Opuran independence unlike the rest of the nation. President Bassam later declared, "The civil conflict in Arcland, while unprecedented and unjustified, has caught the Cosmotian continent by surprise and has therefore become a big deal upon us. We will do anything we can to keep the Opurans from threatening us because they declared independence from a superpower stronger than us, and, should the civil war escalate even further, we will have every right to defend ourselves whether the conflict should last 5 months or 5 years."
