Ahhhh this is unfinished and I probably won’t finish it… but I felt obliged to share this anyways! I fell in love with this character INSTANTLY! — (TW: death) Hametsu is a Frost Spirit who represents Winter, and peacefully lives in a sacred grove along with three other spirits of Spring, Summer, and Autumn. They lived in harmony with the nearby locals, who helped to preserve the forest and keep it safe from outsiders. But everything quickly changed one day when an industrial company, looking to cut down the sacred groves in order to build a resort, invaded and destroyed the forest, despite the local’s attempts to get them to stop. And surely and quickly, the spirits of the seasons began to fall, one after the other. Spring died of starvation. Summer drank from a poisoned stream. Autumn was caught in a fire and did not escape. Hametsu was the only one to survive. And he was livid. With the other spirits gone and unable to keep the balance, the world was plunged into an eternal winter. Hametsu drove out the invaders, and fled, any trace of remorse or sympathy now gone. He roams this icy world in search of his friends, but his attempts will always be in vain. Nothing but the voices from his crystal necklace guide him now.
