Design - Dream Devil Name: Daffodil Pronouns: she/it Species: Dream Spirit (Cat Form) Personality: Quiet, Untrusting, Protective Basic Info: Daffodil was once an ordinary cat who once got a job from ANOMALY LABS. She had a fascination with cryptids and thought it would be a win-win situation alongside its high pay, unaware of the dangerous experiments the company was secretly doing due to simply working as a caretaker for one of the patients (who was in the same cell as Angel before being replaced *wink wink nudge nudge*). ANYWAY- One night after a harsh day at work (where her boss basically gaslights her), Daffodil meets a two-eyed black cat (who you may recognize from some of Angel's animation memes) that tells her the truth about the company. She's skeptical at first but soon feels absolutely betrayed after they show her a vision of a coworker putting radioactive goop(??) into the patients' food (basically weakens them in order to prevent any from breaking out). The next day, Daffodil conducts a plan to expose the company in secret. Despite initially wanting to just spread the word, she goes a bit too far and tries to trick her boss into falling into one of the patients' pools (which is radioactive btw :)). However, he sees through the plan and causes her to fall instead. Her ghost now roams trapped in the halls of ANOMALY LABS, only visible in the dreams of her former coworkers. She has grown restless trying to warn others of the company's misdeeds, but so far, only one has understood her message...

I decided to go a bit tamer this time since tbh this would just add to my giant plate of projects to complete (if you consider some AYS remix and some xmas spoof skit important lol), not to mention there are a lot more other entries for this design and well... the due date was closer than I thought. But I did it anyway cuz I REALLY LOVE THE ORIGINAL SO MUCH- the only drawback is the monochrome aesthetic which I also love but kinda disobeys "using the actual design" if you know what I mean. Also this may be just me but- some of the backstories I write could actually help with fleshing out my overarching stories cuz let's be honest: they're not really as fleshed out as I hope they could be ;v;
