(Please note that this is trademarked so you have give me ten percent of any profits made. And if you think I'm lying, you can't prove that I'm not! HA!) Feel free to comment in case the lack of them is due to people being worried they'll hurt my feelings. I'm my own worst critic...This is not complete, I will eventually add more songs. Also, I know the songs on the bagpipes may sound cruddy, and that's because I'm using my new reed which is harder to blow* then my old one, so my performance is adversely effected. The songs on the first page are played on the actual bagpipes, while the ones on the second page are played on my practice chanter, which is considerably easier to play than the bagpipes, as it doesn't have a bag, drones, or a hard reed. It's sort of like training wheels for bagpipes. The 6/8's are Glenduarel Highlanders and Bonnie Dundee, and the 4/4's are Scotland the Brave and Wings. The 3/4's are Green hills of Tyrol, When the battle's over, and Lochanside. The 4-2-4's are Pikeman's March, Mairi's Wedding, and 1976 Police Tattoo. The 2/4's are Brown Haired Maiden and High Road to Gairloch. The Grade V comp** set is Master Michael Martin, Jenny's Bawbee***, and By the Fireside. All the sets that are called 'the #/#'s or the #-#-#'s are marches played at 60-70 beats per minute by my guestimation.. *that's what she said! XD ** This is the official competition set of the Greater Richmond Pipes and Drums Lowest Level Band (of which I am a part of at only 13 years old). ***A Bawbee is a type of old Scottish coin worth six Scottish pennies, now mostly used to mean a coin of low worth. Fun-fact: It took me several tries and deleted recording to not mess up on Ode to Joy. I took all the other songs in one cut except for the 2/4's since my chanter was acting up and was screeching when I started playing. Funner(ish) fact: If you're still reading this, I hid an Easter egg in the recordings section of one of the chanter songs. It consists of the song without some of the editing (ie it still has the sound of me pausing to turn a page in my book in it) EVEN MORE FUNNERER-ER-DER FACT: THERE'S A SEEKWET PAGE AND THERE'S A ONE IN ONE HUNDRED CHANCE THAT WHEN YOU CLICK YOU WILL HEAR THE MUSIC BACKWARDS!
I was practicing my 'pipes and decided to record it on my school laptop since I'd been meaning to anyway so why not do it now and yeah. These sets are played by the greater Richmond pipes and drums. PS, this is probably pretty loud since I could hear it with my earplugs in, so maybe turn down your volume if you don't like overly loud noises. Also, look up the unipiper because Darth Vader playing star wars on flaming bagpipes while riding a unicycle that's why. He's on YouTube. Feel free to request more music and I'll see if maybe I can find them in bagpipe form and try to learn them. Or you can request some Christmas songs.
