hello hello welcome to my official character reference sheet for my beloved benedict feldman [aka my favorite character] ok ben's basic personality traits and things you should know: - he/him pronouns. cisgender, aroace. - he has autism! manifests itself mainly in social ineptitude and intense special interests, but sensory overload is definitely a thing too. - side order of gad and mdd! also a hypochondriac, which i'll get to later. - very blunt when he speaks, has a flat affect and overenunciates his consonants. - special interest of psychiatry and rare diseases and disorders. he studies them intensely and he's preoccupied mostly with them. specific disorders that take up a lot of his mind include prion diseases [specifically creutzfeldt-jakob disease, kuru, mad cow disease, and chronic wasting disease], fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, treeman syndrome, and stephens-johnson syndrome. - he basically has med student syndrome, and is constantly worried that everyone else is developing these aforementioned disorders. he constantly checks up on everyone around him and has to have constant reassurance that they are not, in fact, dying. - almost always carries around a clipboard with things to remember. while other people have notebooks or planners, he's got his trusty clipboard. - lab coat because why not. - he's ashkenazi jewish! --------------------------------------------------- things to keep in mind if and when you are drawing him! - he has a hooked nose. if you do not draw his nose as hooked, blocked and reported. immediately. /hj - grey strip of hair at the front of his head. he says it's anxiety that makes his hair grey prematurely, but really it's just wonky genetics - very LONGKE face. his nose is long, so is the space between his nose and mouth. - brownish blackish greenish eyes! what does that mean? i don't know! neither does he! - dark circles under eyes - this boy gets no sleep - he sits in the weirdest positions possible. he has practically no vestibular sense so he will literally twist himself into a pretzel and never realize it's weird. - he loves books. in his original 'webcomic' that i invented him for, he lived in a library. in a more general iteration, he basically lives in a library and goes there every single day. - clothing can really be any color you'd like, just stick with neutrals and if you forget the lab coat terrible things will happen. - clipboard not necessary, but makes for a very fun prop in drawings.
