You will get credit for any designs you make, but the the design will belong to someone else at the end. . Everyone who enters and remixes will receive a gift by the end of the contest. The gift will be someone else's character and entry! . You don't need to celebrate christmas to participate . I will handle the gift exchange. so don't agree or tell anybody about the gift you made. * * * FAQ [ frequently asked questions] * * * Q. what is this? what is a secret santa? A. [edited] a gift exchange but you don't know who will give you a gift until the end. The difference between this and normal secret santas is: You will not get to choose who your gift is for. Q. What is a gift? A. Remix this project with a character design sheet. The entire project and any designs or art it contains will be the gift. Q. Will everybody get a design? A. Everybody who enters will receive a design. If there is an odd number of contestants, I will donate a character that i have ^^ Q. I have questions about the wishlist. A: That's okay, you don't need to use the wishlist at all to participate. Please check out this studio if you want to use it or have any questions. and always comment if you have specific questions! Q. If I make someone a gift from their wishlist, should I tell them? A. No. it'll be more secret if you don't ! plus, i will assign characters to people, so they might not receive the character you made ! Q. Do I have to use a wishlist to make a character design sheet? A. Nope! Your character design can be anything as long as it follows the rules. Q. Can I enter multiple times? A. Sure! However, you are only guaranteed one gift. You can also put multiple character designs into one gift. Q. Will the gift I receive be random? A. No. I'll try to match people with the type of designs they wished for. Otherwise, I'll match designs with similar art skill levels and/or complexity. This is so hopefully, each contestant gets what they give! Q. Can we choose our gifts or who gets our gifts in any way? A. No, sorry. I'll sort that out. Q: do we have to sign up or ask to join? A: absolutely not! you can just go go go! Q: is traditional art allowed? A: yes, but unless you strongly believe in your cameras clarity, digital art is preferred for clarity's sake. Q: Will I keep the character i make? Will someone else take credit for the design? A: the character you make will not stay yours , they will belong to the person who receives them ! However , do not claim that a character was designed by you if it is a gift. That is impolite--always credit the original designer, please! Q. what if whoever is supposed to receive my character is inactive? A. If the person who is supposed to receive your character isn't responding to any messages i send them after January 5th, i will contact you. you will keep both your new character and the one that you made originally. Q. Have the rules changed since you made this project A. As of right now, no. I have just clarified some things, and explained some other things that people were curious about. * * * RULES * * * 1. Please do not make feral, furry, or animal entries for this unless someone specifically asks for it on their wishlist. 2. only comment in the studio if you intend to make a gift, too. 3. do not request a specific entry ( a gift that has already been made ). 4. reference sheets MUST contain at least one full-body image. the full-body could be in a simple or chibi style, but it must be present. 5. the entry must include at least one drawing by you. 6. the design must be made by YOU. 7. this is no Picasso Kahlo gift exchange! We'll all do our best but these are gifts ( not commissions ) so don't expect van Gogh to come down and bequeath you with a cute anime girl :> 8.
