One very busy day I told myself "How can I make this day even busier? Oh I know, I'll talk to my friend I haven't talked to in months and make him make scripts which beats video games quickly and add a deadline!" Thus, this TAS was born. Jokes aside though, I've never done TASes this long since my static TAS (which I should probably remake) and I didn't expect how much effort this'd take. Oh well... If you're wondering why neither the checkpoints nor orbs work, that's because I couldn't get them to sync properly. The input display would just never sync with the gameplay, so the best I could do is not include any sort of interaction... sorry :( As for the TASes themselves, @Klimbrio1 seems to have put script to pause the timer when hitting the flag whilst I did not, so the real difference between the two TASes' times aren't relative to each other. Probably should make a project directly comparing the two. TAS comparison: Beginning -> CP2: I somehow missed the box wall jump at the beginning, though I do make it up with the inclusion of a double jump in the spike section. @Klimbrio1 did comment on this saying "if I double jump it actually ends up slower because I then have to wait to reach the ground anyways to do the 3rd jump" but to be honest I'm not exactly sure what that means... I'm pretty sure I saved time, but maybe I'm dumb. CP2 -> Snake section: Not much of a difference. I did miss the second wall jump, opting for a jump instead which probably is slightly slower but other than that there's isn't any major difference. Snake section -> CP3: This easily where I lost the most time. I don't know why the TAS is so bad at the snake section, but by the time I finished the TAS there wasn't any time left over to improve other sections so it stayed... as for the wall jumping section with the hanging ceilings, @Klimbrio1 opted for wall jumping instead of holding right, which I don't know if it's faster or not. CP3 -> CP4: I also missed the fact that you could go under both platforms... oops CP4 -> End: This is also another pretty bad section for me, and I think I noticed that but just wanted to get this done as I had other stuff to do. Aside from the first one, @Klimbrio1 also managed to hit an offscreen orb a second time. In conclusion (this isn't a section in the run): The time difference is around 4-5 seconds between the two TASes. The planning in this run wasn't the best (not like I've ever been a person who thinks of good routes) and I probably should've went back and cleaned up some section, but I guess that's the point of a deadline, the fact that you can't spend your time on something forever. Oh well at least I did have fun TASing this. I do have a secret project planned relating to this, but I can't promise I'll actually finish it. @Klimbrio1's much better run can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/759270493/ Let's see how many comments I can get saying I made a typo
