Hi everyone! I just want to say, thank you all for 700+ <33 As someone who joined Scratch out of pure curiosity and excitement after hearing about it from a friend, I never expected to get this far. You all have been so kind and supportive as I've revamped my account, progressed in my art skills, and letting me submit entries for things a little late, haha. Anyway, let's stop talking about how happy I am and actually get onto the contest details- DTIYS stands for Draw This In Your Style. You can draw the art piece the exact same way in your style, draw a similar art piece with the same vibe, or something else, as long as you include the main character seen in the ref and follow the rules! Rules - Don't steal or trace art, your entry must be /your/ art. Character creators [for example, picrew] are not allowed. - No rude comments on other entries. Remember, if you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all. - Your entry does NOT have to be a remix, but if it is indeed not one, please link once you've posted it. - Please submit by the deadline! It's currently December 31st, but I might extend or shorten it depending on the popularity and or amount of entries I get. - Keep the character recognizable please ^^ If she has the same color palette but other than that doesn't look anything like my character, that does not really count- - No gore ;-; I don't mind a little bit of blood or drawing that is angsty or has fighting in it, but ye- - This isn't really a rule, but I encourage creativity :D You can make an animation meme or comic for your entry! Yuri was a normal African American girl for the most part. She was happy, outgoing, and had many friends. Because she was so likable, she was naive and innocent and her family and friends tended to shelter her from too upsetting things. But one day, an incident changed it all for her. Her mom, who was the main money provider, injured herself in a car accident. Unable to work, her family was forced to move to a different area so her dad could work instead, and she had to switch from online school to a cheaper public school. Her entire life uprooted, she struggled to adapt. She was able to make new friends, but it was harder than just simply sending a message through a school messaging system. And they weren't like the friends she had before. Something was...different. She couldn't tell what,,until her new friend Leana tersely told her to meet her in the forest near the school one day. She didn't suspect anything was wrong, despite Leana's tone. No, she didn't suspect anything, right up until the moment Leana started to yell and mock her, calling her names and telling her how annoying and ignorant her upbeat and ridiculously trusting nature was. Yuri could only stand there, unblinking at the horrible words were thrown at her. And from then on, she wasn't the same.
