I redid a few things, though he pretty much just got reskinned. Oh yeah he’s a journalist, so he has a notepad. In this world people just imprint paper with magic to make words and characters (letters, symbols, numbers etc.). All creatures have magic, though everyone has different amounts and abilities, and only one race is born with magic abilities, the pizz. Everyone else can only use magic for basic things like writing, reading, movement, and self defense, but none of it is particularly strong.
