Instructions

Credit to @-Rex- for PTE++ ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/ ) ==== FOR REMIX INSTRUCTIONS & RULES, SCROLL DOWN ==== Want to skip to the most recent remix? Try the remix tree: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/733338490/remixtree Those pesky barrels are back with a medieval twist against the crenellated stone wall of a regal castle! Starting from the bottom, the climbers must sprint across all four floors & ascend towards the chequered goal in order to gain 'wins' and increase the difficulty. It's easier said than done, as all sorts of barrels are constantly rolled out across the platform & down to the bottom, which the player must jump over to avoid bumps, squishes, KOs, and other crazy effects. The climbers can use ladders to help them reach the top quicker, but barrels can tumble down them and get in the way of that. The higher the difficulty, the faster barrels will roll out. If our daring crew takes too long to reach the top, the difficulty will decrease to make it easier. That being said, will they be able to reach the gruelling maximum Difficulty 10.0?! We'll have to wait and see. Hover over a character to see their name and amount of wins. If the thumbnail appears while the project is still running, click/tap it to hide it. Please note that the layering may be inaccurate at certain points... ==== HOW 2 REMIX ==== Want to add more players climbing the castle? Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. Scroll down below these instructions & read the rules! Don't proceed until you have. 2. Comment "Remixing..." to notify others, then click the green 'Remix' button at the top-right corner. 3. Create a duplicate of the "Player0" sprite. (right-click the sprite on the sprite list, then click "duplicate") 4. Create your character! Replace every costume in the duplicated sprite with your character, replace all "Voice" sound clips (at the bottom of the sound list) with your character's voice, & set their name, Run-animation and sound-amount settings. If you wish, you can also change their Footstep & Jump sounds. 5. Test your project &, if you like the result, either continue to add more characters or share it! 6. Modify the title to match the current remix number & amount of climbers. You're also allowed to add characters to the thumbnail & add more music tracks. ==== RULES ==== Only @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, @ZYellow, @Kyle3912Again, @SCRACO65, @Eliminated, @BobbyTheCatTheFirst, @SlyCotton-Apriwolf and @meow10010 are allowed to break these rules. Rules marked with a (!) can ONLY be broken by @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, nobody else! (!) 1. Remember REMIX ETIQUETTE: Comment "Remixing..." in the comments before starting a remix so people know not to accidentally split the remix tree's branches. If you don't intend to make a new remix branch, then don't remix if someone has commented "Remixing...". (!) 2. DO NOT BREAK SCRATCH'S COMMUNITY GUIDELINES (SCG), so nothing too scary, gory or vulgar!! (!) 3. Don't add or remove anyone from the breaking rules list without permission. Furthermore, don't delete any of these rules or instructions & don't completely change the project title either. 4. Don't delete or ruin anything you didn't make, unless to fix glitches, errors or rule-breaks, delete unused scripts, or (only if you're a rule-breaker) to add a new feature to the game. 5. Don't make your characters too large, that would make it hard to see or make them too inaccurate compared to their hitbox. I suggest scaling your character assets IN THE COSTUME EDITOR to match the size of the other characters before making your other costumes. 6. I don't recommend adding any singular characters that appear to be 2 separate characters (EG: Mario & Luigi both as 1 player), unless they are stuck together with no feasible way to physically detach them. 7. Don't delete any music tracks unless they break the SCG. If you don't want to listen to a certain song or genre, utilize the "audio exemption" functionality to make sure you can't. 8. On the topic of music, please also refer to the Music comment's recommended music limit so this project's file size doesn't bloat too quickly. 9. You can add yourself to the thumbnail, but please don't delete any characters off it (unless they must be removed due to breaking the rules) or completely change it altogether. 10. If you are part of the "breaking rules" list, you're allowed to add a new rule if needed. Remember to add it to both the RULE RECAP comment and the project's instructions! Make sure you double-check these rules in the thumbnail just before you share the project. Don't let your remix be UNOFFICIALIZED by broken rules, or else it'll likely be abandoned. A list of barrel types can be seen inside the thumbnail sprite of the project.

Description

Credit to @TheStarSpirit, @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, and everyone else who remixed both the official chain and the chain where I ported most of the added characters from. ===== Backstory ===== So, a remix chain that someone made while overtaking @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop while he was remixing to add Thomas and Stikwig somehow grew bigger than the chain Burgnew made himself (and Burgnew is the creator of this AY-minigame). He wanted his chain to get attention, so he made this project in response to let everyone in the other chain know about the main chain: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/760591964 Burgnew was originally going to make his own remix on the other chain to make tweaks to all characters that weren't aligned to the floor (some characters were even facing backwards), but he got waaaay too stressed about it and gave up on his remix. I didn't want him to lose hope for the AY-minigame, so I was more than happy to make a remix for him porting some characters that were fairly aligned to his chain. I call it "The Great Porting Update"! I also ported ALL soundtracks from the other chain as well as added many new soundtracks and 2 completely new characters. One more thing, there were a few minor tweaks I had to make to some players. This is a lot, so let's begin. ===== What's New ===== Changes to existing characters: - Paul had an identical duplicate of his BaseStand costume that somehow was made in the previous remix. Paul now only has one BaseStand costume again. - Ember's KO costume is now aligned to the center. - Jaice's TriumphVoice has been replaced by one of his DelightVoices as I don't feel comfortable with him using Skylar's voice (this is not the first time someone took Skylar's voice). Additionally, the unused sounds in Jaice that were used to apply most of his voices have been removed to save project space. Ported Players: These players are the main features in this update. The ported players include: - Noob the Energetic Imp (by @Glassman196) - @RDash75 - Zeler (by @RDash75) - Bomb Thrower (by @BarryFans) - @ajaymay (labeled as AJAYMAY) - Pencil Sharpener (by @Yellowsheep43) - GvYoutube (by @elfrida1981) New Players: On top of the ported players, I also added 2 of my other OCs: - Nanobross - Zac New Soundtracks: I have added 23 new soundtracks which is too much for me to list. But what I can say is that Tomodachi Quest Final Boss, On Your Toes (Top 100), and The Flying Sword Chase have been ported over to this remix and @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop was originally going to add Hectic Joker and Remix 9 (DS) in what would've been his version of the porting remix.
