(All changes are outlined below) Original project date: Feb 18, 2022 Original version date: July 16, 2022 *** Major Credits *** Huge credit to @griffpatch for the original Paper Minecraft project, and @Parnapple for the modding guide. "Minecraft" is both property and trademark of Mojang Studios. If you are further interested, please visit www.minecraft.net. *** Changes list *** • Added 4 new biomes: Jungle, Swampland, Savanna and Sunflower Plains • Added new Acacia tree and wood type • Added sound effects for actions such as: placing, digging specific blocks, shooting bows, throwing projectiles, igniting TNT, explosions and other mobs who lacked sound effects. • Added ender pearls, which are obtained by killing endermen. • Added golden apples, mutton, melon, cookies and pumpkin pie as food items • Added deepslate and tuff, found in blobs deep underground • Glowstone and clay now drop dust/clay balls rather instead of the blocks themselves • Added iron trapdoors, which have the same function as wooden trapdoors, except that you can't open them by hand • Added books, bookshelves, paper, and the enchantment table. !! Enchanting isn't fully done, only A FEW enchantments work, there's NO experience requirement, NOR any enchanted item will retain their enchantments when reloading. !! • Added lapis lazuli, which can be used for enchanting and making blue dye • Added the block of coal, which can smelt up to 80 items per block • Added dyes and coloured wool. Dyes can be used to dye sheep, which its coloured wool can be obtained by killing or shearing said dyed sheep. Due to the lack of squid ink, black dye is craft-able by putting one coal/charcoal in the crafting grid. Recipes for dyes are almost the same as the ones shown in the Minecraft wiki. • Snowballs and eggs can now be thrown, same with the newly added ender pearls. • Oak Trees will use a variant with wider leaves) when grown in swamps. • Added ferns, tall grass, large ferns, dead bushes, and all the missing flowers which were added in later versions. !! As of now, Alliums, Lilacs, Peony, Rose Bush, Fern and Large Fern are all unobtainable in Survival mode. !! • All flowers can be used to craft their respective dye. • Added Leather and Chainmail armour sets. • Clay balls can be smelted into bricks, which can be crafted into brick blocks. Blocks of clay now give off terracotta, which can be dyed the same way as they did in the original game. • Bricks can be crafted into brick stairs. • Added Nether bricks, which are obtained by smelting Netherrack and can be used to craft Nether brick stairs and fences. • Stair and fence variants of non-oak woods have been added. • Added a scrollbar to the creative menu due to the larger amount of blocks. • Added critical hits, which can be pulled by hitting a mob while falling without moving horizontally. • Diorite, andesite and granite now spawn in blobs throughout the world. • Added Nether Quartz and Ancient Debris. Upgrading tools to Netherite tier requires a smithing table. • Changed most of the game textures. This was done both for consistency sake and due to the original project's textures being either improperly scaled or/and compressed in some areas. • Added biome variant textures, which also includes a new sky colour for the Nether. However, if you don't like this change, you can toggle off "Biome Tints" in the options menu. • Fixed Wooden Stairs and Pistons using logs instead of planks in crafting. • Fixed Stone Bricks being harvested when mined by hand. • Modified the order of items in the creative menu. • Nerfed/buffed a few mobs to be more akin to the original game. • Fixed duplication glitch which involved naming any container and going to a crafting table. • Furnaces can now be named. • Tool damage values are now accurate to the ones in the Bedrock edition of Minecraft. This means, for example, a diamond sword will deal 8 damage points instead of 7. • Plains biomes are slightly more accurate to vanilla, and the 'Flat' biome has been changed to 'Woodlands', a Plains-like biome with more trees. • Tools and armour now have their proper durability and/or harvest level values. • Digging speed has been changed to use the original game algorithm. You can now break the bedrock below in Creative mode. • Going below/above the world no longer makes you swim. *** Asset Credits *** Most graphics and audio were taken from both the Minecraft game data and the Minecraft wiki, which were slightly modified and re-scaled to make the game work. Other textures were edited/created by myself. Some of the other graphics, such as the hotbar, and creative scroll bar, were used from Vattic's Faithful 32x32 pack.
