(Changed the thumbnail because it was too hard to look at for me) WARNING: THIS PROJECT MENTIONS INSTANCES OF GRAPHIC VIOLENCE INCLUDING SEVERE INJURY AND EVEN MURDER. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED If you recognize this image then I feel VERY sorry for you. I have recently learned about shock sites and shock videos. These are disturbing and usually graphically violent videos on the internet designed to shock people. This particular video that is depicted in the thumbnail is actually able to be watched on youtube, because you don't actually see what happens. In this video, a family on vacation is soon struck with tragedy after a brick flies through their windshield, hitting a 29-year-old woman (the driver's wife) in the right temple (the most brittle part of the human skull), piercing it and going into her brain. You can't see it, but you can hear her family's cries as they beg for help, before eventually realizing she has passed. The fact that this video was uploaded on youtube, the site that will demonetize your channel for saying swear words, is very, very upsetting to me. The worst part is, this video is considered tame. There are other videos on the internet (I have not seen any of these) that are literal murder being recorded and uploaded to websites that are full of this stuff. These websites are actually very common and are surprisingly legal. A victim of murder can't consent to being filmed and uploaded to the internet. The families of these victims may wake up one day to see that a video depicting the murder of a loved one has gone viral. Not to mention the elephant in the room, THESE VIDEOS ARE LITERAL MURDER AND TORTURE! These videos have been known to cause PTSD, and, for more mentally ill viewers, it may even cause them to replicate the stuff they've seen. An example of this is the Infamous "3 Guys, 1 Hammer" (I will not describe this video as I haven't read about it and even if I did, this is a kids' website), "Inspired" a young Chinese student to create the even more Infamous "1 lunatic, 1 ice pick". To any ST members reading this, yes I know, it's not a fun topic, but I think it is important to educate children about this, so they can be safer on the internet. Please, if you ever hear about these kind of things from your friends or something, educate them on how terrible this stuff is.
