Alright! Back to the very beginning of the series. (Sorry if I miss some stuff, I’ve been focused on the third arc books so it’s been a while.) Alright so we start off with some kids living underground…uh what? Okay, so our main characters are legit a bunch of kids that have been shoved underground and told to not go anywhere. Geez. Blah blah blah QUEEN SCARLET. Basically our magic underground children meet the evil queen of wof. Evil queen evil murder Mcmurder face queen. Yep. So basically our now traumatized children have been introduced to the concept of death by witnessing one of their only parental figures and most trusted adults in their life get their neck snapped and are now in Queen scarlet’s murder hous—I-I mean…arena…and they are forced to fight to the death with a bunch of strangers. Thankfully covid doesn’t exist in this world because I don’t think thats 6 feet away. okay so now we have peril (the super hot love interest…literally!) oh wow she’s gonna murder someone—oh…uhm…h-horizon? You-you good bro…? at this point the children (except sunny) are all even more traumatized by Peril. She’s super hot though, so its fine! Eventually Peril helps them escape by betraying them and proceeds to open a wooden door without burning it??? (In the graphic novel, at least) yay our traumatized children are now free—oh. There goes Starflight. ANYway…back to our children basically running from Evil mcmurder face queen now. And the rest of the SkyWing army. Fun. OKAY so now our children go to the mud kingdom and meet Clay’s mom! She broke the 13th amendment before Clay was even born! Great! Then we see Clay’s siblings, (*intense trying to remember his siblings names) uh—Sora, crane…no shes dead, right? Uh…umbrella…i seriously don’t remember anymore. Anyway, yeah those guys are cool ig. AIGHT now its time to go to the ocean to meet some big fish! Leggo— Aight so overall I give this book probably a 6.5/10, its pretty good, the plot mostly makes sense, but there are a few things of course I don’t like. So the book is overall good, welp onto the big fish.
