Instructions

Wanted to experiment with Scratch default sounds to make a song and came up with this: it is a song comprised completely of Scratch instruments and not using any outside sources. It has only two instruments but maybe in the future I'll make more complex things. More in-depth description below (long read) -------------------------------------------------- As a long time, Scratch creator, one thing that has given me many issues in the past has been timing, especially with sound queues. As I've, for the most part, only used slow and low-end laptops to make projects, the timing on my side was often quite different from the average viewer. This made animating, the main thing I did on Scratch, quite the hassle. Fast forward to now, I was struck with insomnia and couldn't sleep, so decided to browse my old Scratch account to pass some time. While doing so, a thought occurred for me: what if I could make a song that relies completely and solely on Scratch's internal time instead of using the message function over and over? In the past, I would do all the sound queues separately, so they were bound to be off at times. However, if I did them all in one place, theoretically everything would play together for everyone who watched. The result was this project. Only two instruments in a song pretty basic, but the point is that those two instruments will never be out of sync. Even if the song lags, the instruments lag together, negating any timing issues whatsoever. This may not be a huge issue or something anyone cares about, but it satisfies an old issue I used to seethe over as a kid. Hope someone at least finds this enjoyable.
