The null grenade basically creates a temporary black hole that consumes any known material in its path. The only way to stop the grenade currently is by destroying it before the explosion. The "black hole" created by the grenade doesn't act like a regular black hole. Instead of the matter combining with the singularity, small amounts of atoms that were consumed are thrown out of the "black hole" created, and the rest of it disappear. It is unknown where the rest of the atoms go at the moment. Due to this, the "black hole" created has been named a "null portal" for now.
