When Scratch was still in development, the team decided that the mascot would be a cat. When the artist finished the sprite, the team inserted it into the build and tested it. When they were finished, they weren't happy. The Scratch Team removed it from the build because they couldn't edit the right hand and the sprite was a little creepy. You can open the file by typing /<open>BETA.CAT in the website's code. Whoever leaves the file open for more than 4 seconds suddenly went missing. The only way to view the image safely is through a screenshot. Anyone who tried to erase the file was later found dead on the nearest road.
