Part 2 of my dtae : Also, here's a story: For hundreds of years, the village of the Enchanted Forest had gifted a kitten under the age of three moons to become the next Guardian of the Forest every seven years. Today, it would happen again. She glided above the trees, her paws brushing the leaves. Flying down into the clearing a little way into the forest, she landed softly in front of the kitten in the basket. The kitten gazed up at her, no fear in her eyes. The older cat smiled, and shut her eyes, breathing in the magic of the forest. The thrum of the forest fell into beat with her heart. The magic surrounded her, comforted her, sustained her, filled her. She opened her eyes and let the magic pour into the kitten with a flash of green light. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fern clung on the branch. "Can you help me, please?" she called to her mentor, who was a couple branches above her. "Figure it out yourself, Fern! I'm not going to be there every time you climb a tree!" Her mentor dove past her, a blur of grey and green. Fern frowned but dropped down from the branch and launched herself into the air, following her mentor. They glided through a cloud, the misty air cooling their fur. The sun lit up the forest, tinting everything gold. Fern wished that it could stay like this forever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Ha this part has no animation because I got bored of animating this) Landing softly before the small pile of stones, Fern sighed, gazing into the sky. A teardrop fell into the dirt, and a gold flower sprang from the soil where it fell. It had been only one moon since her mentor had faded away, since the magic had left her. Although Fern was sad that her mentor had died, she still felt the same excitement that she did the first day that she had met her mentor. Though her mentor was gone, Fern had come to take her place as Guardian of the Enchanted Forest. The magic of the forest would be passed from mentor to apprentice, Guardian to future Guardian. The forest would survive, and the Guardian would keep it safe. Forever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay story over. So basically, there is a magic forest, and every seven years, a kitten is trained by the guardian of the forest to be the new protector, and Fern is one of the chosen. She loves the forest, and cares for it, making sure that no evil passes beneath its trees (or over). Fern was trained by the former guardian (the grey and white cat). Note: in the beginning, Fern doesn't have the cloak-thing nor gold band because she gets those when she's older.
