══════════════Join SIC!══════════════ Come join us this December to January in Scratch Inspiration Camp! This camp is different from others, spanning 1.5 months rather than 1. You will get to work on and learn about music, writing, art, history, role models, and nature - each will be focused on for a week or more. Choose from the cabins Wordsmiths (writing), Musicians (music), Artisans (art), and Historians (history). Whichever cabin you get into, you will focus on learning and performing in that cabin's field! Campers may also complete the optional activity of making a project in their cabin's theme. Camper sign-ups are here and close on Nov. 24: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/754475116/ ^^ Hope to see you there! ══════════What is SIC in depth?═════════ The fabulous Soki has an excellent explanation: SIC is a biannual (taking place twice a year) camp here on Scratch. This session will take place over the course of six weeks, from December 1st to January 13th, with each week focusing on taking inspiration from a different source or field: writing, history, music, art, nature, and role models. The first four of these are cabins. During SIC, campers and counsellors set minute goals for themselves and work to spend at least that amount of time in these six fields. But that’s not all! SIC, like most Scratch camps, also includes fun daily activities that allow you to gain points for your cabin and increase your abilities in the current week’s field. SIC does not have weeklies or weekendlies, instead, each participator works on a session-long project that /must/ have something to do with the theme of your cabin. This is pretty flexible; for example, someone in the writing cabin or someone in the music cabin could both write a song as their final project. Completion and sharing of this project will earn you tons of points for your cabin! This is just a basic description of the camp; if you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
