wHY IS THE THUMBNAIL LITERALLY THE PICTURE IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT POSITION- I love saying that now lol (as in, I wonder what this is-) but wHAT FROSTY SHARES TRADITIONAL ART?? :"000 SCRATCH ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED THE QUALITY, SORRY, BUT I GUESS IT LOOKS OKAY LOL I SWEAR IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER IN REAL LIFE THAT'S ALSO SOME TERRIBLE LIGHTING- LIKE, FROM MY LIGHT, NOT THE DRAWING HAHA I might retake the picture if I don't really like how the picture right now but it's good for now- Keep in mind this is a privilege. Normally I wouldn't share traditional art for some reasons. But this was/is a challenge against Blackbark, and a competition too. But the requirements was to follow a theme of basically an ocean or water theme, perhaps a stormy ocean (hence the background) along with Chinese and/or Japanese theme, perhaps even ancient. This is what came out for me :')) we were to use lined paper/college ruled paper, an HB pencil, and a black pen. As you can see I used the black pen to my advantage :"D This is literally the first time I've used coloured pencils in f o r e v e r- I really struggled with the colour of the water for a while and I was literally done a chunk of the colour using a blend that I didn't like until I found the perfect colour combination for the water. :') I was actually close to just abandoning the drawing until I'm like "wAIT I CAN JUST MAKE IT BLEND SO MOST OF IT LOOKS COOL AND NOT…LIKE T H A T" so I still became proud of it ;D but I literally couldn't decide because nothing looked good and I foolishly decided to try it on the actual drawing. What a grave mistake for me :'D And if we cancelled the deadline completely I would never have got it done, which is why I didn't ask you to lol. But I like the design. He's basically a Chinese dragon, just with Japanese aspects, if you know what I mean. He's like a…Chinese dragon samurai, or- FORMER samurai. >;') and I gave him an asian hat because yes. He has a Katana and a spear, but funny thing is that he hardly ever used his Katana when he was a samurai of his…uh, shogun tribe of dragons I guess, but after he was…exiled…he decided he didn't really have any honour to uH destroy (I can't find the word-) and started using it more and now he roams the seas and places near water where he has extra power B)) he always used the spear more though. And of course he has water powers because why the heck not lol I know the colour of the sky and the clouds look similar, especially because of the AWfUL lIGhtINg- soooo uh sorry about that ;w; I still hope it looks okay though lol And yes, he literally punched two holes through the asian hat. I wanted to show off his horns okay XD But yeah this is my side of the "competition", Blacky >:")) Now, I forgot to mention because I was immediately reminded when Blackbark shared his side, was the competition part: you guys get to vote on who's has more of what. This includes: - How much it strays away from original style - Creativity/originality - l o o k s g o o d - sticking to the theme (water and/or ocean themed, with Chinese and/or Japanese theme) - Character is based off those themes THOUGH DISCLAIMER, BASE IT MORE OFF OF BLACKBARK'S. HIS IS A LITTLE MORE SIMPLE LOL I think that's about it lol. Tell me if I forgot anything!
