SERR purchased two F40M-2Fs from Iowa Pacific in 2020 after they went defunct. Both units were damaged after hitting a garbage truck in June 2016, so they were sent to NRE in Paducah, Kentucky to be rebuilt. Both units were refitted with HEP and 457 was converted to a HEP unit which required two fans to be reinstalled in the radiator section which were removed when it was converted to a road slug. Both were given SERR's new scheme which has white text instead of red. Currently only 455, 457, 1002 have been painted into this scheme. These will mostly be used for excursions for CCRM which SERR partially owns.
