Just some filler because I haven't been posting much lately :) Kinda trying to revamp TM again (same version as July, but with our main cast!) and the story got a little...Redde-y again. Hard to believe that this is our bat boi he's a bluejay now because feathers are fun to draw and before he looked way too much like an imp, which would be too similar to Dyre's new design. Also, because blujays are corvids, not songbirds like they're commonly confused for, so it still fits with his sister being a Raven. Kinda simple world building/storyline (keep in mind it's still being worked on, so things may change): - Hybrids began evolving the the late 1800's, but weren't fully viewed by the public until the 30's. - Cosa, a secluded group of cities that's been boarded up and cast away from the rest of the world, holds the highest population of hybrids at nearly 47% of their total population, though most are below thirty years old. - In the early 40's Refuge, the capital of Cosa, began a superhero-like group known as the Heroes of Refuge, or the HR - The HR was dedicated to protecting the cities, which had over time grown to create their own government and see themselves as an independent country of their own. - As nice as this sounds, there were plenty of corrupt people both in the HR, and running it. As more and more hybrids left the faction, or refused to sign up, Refuge got more and more desperate, seeing as the HR program was the only way they could keep hybrids in line. - In 1982, the surrender law was put in place, forcing families to turn in any hybrids under the age of 18. Those who resisted were arrested, those who hid were killed. By '84 hospitals were overun with Refuge representatives, taking hybrid children as soon as they were born. - Our story takes place in 1995, focusing on HR training units CH041 and CH042, made up of children taken when they were about three years old. Likewise, they have little to no knowledge of the world outside of the facilities, so when their youngest comes of age, and they're relocated into the inner city to live among civilians while conducting their hero work, the kids must learn how to function in this world, all while maintaining their secret identities. - Reede here is one of those lucky ducks who happens to be in unit CH041 This feels like an entire essay now lmao but yeah, new story in the works! so be ready for that As always, folks, have a lovely rest of your day/night! :)
