"So, I decided that I'm not going to ask you what happened." UK glanced at China. "Because suddenly you're wearing a strange necklace," China continued. "You haven't said anything for ten minutes, and you have this weird expression on your face." UK nodded. He glanced at the forest around him, and stared at a tree. Was that a pattern in the bark? In the shape of a-- "UK? UK!" He looked away from the birch bark and stared at the base, where Belarus SSR and NC were waving frantically at them. "The others are inside!" NC told them. UK was surprised to see Soviet and Ame staring glumly at their feet when he walked in. "We're sorry," Soviet blurted out. UK looked up. "Hm?" "For arguing," Ame continued. "And yelling. And making you run away." "Oh," UK murmured, surprised. "Well, thanks." Soviet shuffled his feet, looking eager to change the subject. "I think I know where Third is." "How?!" China demanded. "AND WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME--" "Calm down," Ame interrupted. "We found out when you went to go fetch UK. It seems as though he's made his nest somewhere in the forest, around a mountain." "A mountain?" UK echoed. In his head, the image of a large, gray mountain appeared, the tip dusted with snow. He heard screaming coming from inside, and he flinched as his eyes were harassed by a sharp red light-- "UK!" UK blinked, the real world melting back into his sight. "You zoned out," Ame told UK. "Are you okay?" "Yeah," UK muttered. "Just tired..." But as the scream he had heard echoed through his mind, he wondered if he had just lied.
