Hey Scratchers! Happy Diwali! This is a non-pollution protest again Firecrackers on Diwali! Keep reading for a guide on Diwali! If you're wondering what Diwali (pronounced Dee-Waal-Ee) is, it is a traditional Indian festival celebrated in October or November. If you saw my Dusshera project, then you know about Ram, Lakshman and Sita. Diwali celebrates their return to Ayodhya (their hometown) and is also called "The festival of light". People light up diyas (What you see in the project) because when Ram, Lakshman and Sita returned, everyone lit up the way back home using these. We also make Rangoli(pronounced Run-goalie, design out of coloured powder), eat Mithai(sweets), and do Pooja(prayers). But people burst fireworks which are bad for the environment. Let's stop them!
