He often can be found trying to comfort those who have had their dreams crushed, even though mortals cannot see him. Once, Astriki was mortal, just like you and I. He was a normal human boy who dreamed of one day becoming an actor and model. He was very vocal about his dreams, telling everyone who would listen that one day, they'd see him on television. He bragged about this until he was 12, when his family moved to the country. Cowboy-wannabes surrounded him and made fun of him for his 'feminine aspiration'. This continued through his school years until finally... it all became too much. He gave up on his dreams. He instead went for a normal office job. He never found joy in his life after that, and nor did he find friends. After a long, miserable life, he passed away... only to be greeted by a sweet voice belonging to an anthropomorphic fennec fox, who offered him a deal he couldn't refuse; He could help those who's dreams had been crushed manage to still have a happy life. All that was asked for in return was his joy. Since then, his smiles were faked for those who needed someone to be there. His success was only greeted with grief for the life he could have lead.... but it will all be worth it... one day....
