So, if you've read @VenusWolfeMF's most recent PSA, you may know what this is about if not, I highly suggest you do so cause what they said is really important Anyway. Friends What are friends? Friends are people who spend a lot of time with each other and talking about a large variety of topics. Friends listen to each other when one is hurt or upset or needs comfort. I have gone through multiple times when someone comes up to my profile or project talking in a 'friend manner' This makes me super uncomfortable and awkward. Sometimes it makes me feel obligated to answer in a friend manner as well You can't just come up to someone you've barely even talked to and be like, 'Hey, can we be friends?' or 'I consider you a real good friend' No. Friendship takes a lot of time and respect. You don't just become friends out of the blue. My friends are people I talk to often and comfortably and those I talk to on a daily basis (of course exceptions are if they're busy) How would you like it if I, a random person online, came up to you and ask if you wanted to be friends? You may say you wouldn't really care, but I promise you it feels worse than you think. ... Ok, I'm sorry if that sounded harsh and rude But I just want you to know that just because we talked a few times with the same topic does not mean we are friends. I need you all to respect my boundaries cause for someone as timid as me, it's really hard for me to point out that what you're doing makes me uncomfortable. Below are my list of friends, if you're not there, it may be cause I forgot, I need to confirm we are friends, or I just don't consider you a friend. You can tell me that you think of me as a friend but before you do so, I ask that you at least think 'Have we been talking a lot with a wide and different variety of topics?' If I don't feel the same, I probably won't reply This is not in any order whatsoever I love y'all equally <33 (platonic ofc XD) Friends: @supercalicupcake (thanks sm Callie you were my first friend here and super supportive <33) @Ocean-Lullaby (aka when she annoys me trying to make ship art) @raven-pisces (eheh, SWC friend >:3 don't really talk much anymore since you're busy, but I miss talking to you <33) @FlamingFeater_079 (soz if you don't feel the same Feather-) @SarahMiaFun (lol we talk more on other sites but oh well) Ahem, I am lonely ok? If you're not my friend, I ask that you do NOT talk to me like that. (randomly chaotic, irl topics, etc.) Anyway, I hope you understand that it can be super inconsiderate to randomly talk to someone you hardly know like a friend. Especially when they sound uncomfortable about it and you continue doing it. One last note, I’m not mad in any way if you do this, just uncomfortable. I’m not saying you shouldn’t talk to someone in a friendly way, more so you shouldn’t talk to someone with random topics that they don’t need to know if you hardly talk to them. It took me a while to decide whether or not to post this. I was very afraid of getting reported, or even banned. I just wanted to call out this issue. Please. Think first before reporting.
