Disclaimer: I have nothing against ANYBODY brought up in this project, but that doesn't mean I can't criticize their work. However, you are about to see me in the saltiest mood I have ever been in since I was a little kid. Viewer discretion is advised. Ever since Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) was released, the Sonic community transformed into one of the most TOXIC fanbases in the world, and right now, that same community is tearing itself apart over the upcoming Sonic Frontiers. I don't understand how the criticism against Sonic just would not stop, and what I find odd is that so many of these "fans," if they truly are fans to begin with, always focus more on the negative things about the games, yet these same people focus on the positive things about different games that are NOT Sonic-related. What is going on here?! If you truly are Sonic fans, then why are you using this franchise as some sort of punching bag?! I actually came across a video by "DidYouKnowGaming?" not too long ago. That video points out EVERY SINGLE MISTAKE in the Sonic franchise. That's right, you heard me! They are pointing out all of the flaws in pretty much every Sonic game out there, and I have not seen any videos from DidYouKnowGaming? that point out the good things about Sonic to at least show that there is GOOD AND BAD in the Sonic franchise! Are you kidding me?! You guys might scoff at this and say, "Look at this kid, he's complaining about the criticism against Sonic." Well, to those who think that, allow me to explain something to you. There are good and bad things in ALL video games, movies, etc. that are out there. This includes Super Mario, Mega Man, Double Dragon, Pac-Man, Tony Hawk, Halo, Doom, and much more. And let's not forget about IGN. For people like IGN's staff members to say things like, "Sonic was never good" and to only look at the negative things in the franchise is extremely wrong and very disrespectful to the people who love the franchise! In fact, let me ask you something, IGN, if Sonic was "never good," then why are you reviewing a Sonic game?! Who is your audience if you say that he was "never good?!" That doesn't make any sense at all! I understand that Sonic has not been doing well lately, but Sonic Team is giving it their all right now with the upcoming Sonic Frontiers. Despite that, we have people like Sasso Studios or Gamerguyd7aces trying to RUIN IT for those who already love this game, whether they loved it from playing the demos or watching the trailers! How are they trying to ruin it? By either complaining about the game or come up with ridiculous theories like, "Sonic's the real villain in the game." Sasso Studios even had the guts to refer to Sonic Frontiers as "Sonic Front-Tears!" That is very disrespectful towards those who like Sonic Frontiers! I'm very sorry, but I really needed to get all of that out of my system. I hope that after you, the reader, listen to all of this, almost everything I said would help at least consider the problems with the Sonic community and AT LEAST try to change the community in a positive way (though I don't plan on joining the Sonic community anytime soon; I am simply MY OWN Sonic Fan). They've taken too much criticism for God knows how long, so I am standing up for them. Once again, I do not have anything against anybody I mention in this project, but that doesn't mean I can't criticize their work. I really hope this drama comes to an end soon.
