Golf ball POV: six months. it's been six whole months and yet I am still unsuccessful in finding a way to fix this all. a quite curse escaping my mouth as I scribbled out another useless plan on my notepad. I had done this so often that I was actually beginning to run out of pages. something that used to rarely happen, as I used to always get the best results from my testing. quickly I walked over to a small metal table, its surface covered with paperwork. carefully, I grabbed a small cup that was sitting on the edge. preventing it from spilling onto my robotic arms. Maybe this will help clear this headache that was starting to form. I chugged down the entire cup before slamming it back down on the table. the impact causing a loud, sharp ringing throughout the room before abruptly cutting into silence. I stood silent for a long moment, hoping that someone else didn't hear that. I didn't want to speak with anyone at the moment. Not ever sense Tennis ball vanished a month ago. of course, he was not the first object to vanish. there had been a few others that disappeared. Such as Four himself. meaning they had no way of recovering anyone if they had died. he had originally gone out to check for any supplies or possibly even other objects. but has not yet returned. "Golf ball?" I half turned my attention to who spoke. Standing in the doorway was a coin with green eyes. "Coiny, shouldn't you be with Pin and Needle handing out supplies." I said somewhat coldly, hoping that he would get the message to go away. Clearly however, he didn't seem to pick up on it. "They can handle without me for a bit" he explained, taking a few steps into the room "I heard a loud noise come from here. are you okay?" "I'm fine" I replied as it set my notepad down on the table, being more careful this time. Coiny looked at me rather doubtfully, I could tell he was unconvinced and wanted to pry more. of course, he would. after all he was quite a Nosie one among us. always trying to know what's going on with everyone here. "It doesn't seem like it though, you seem... stressed. he walked further into the room. only stopping when he was just a short distance away from me. "I'm Fine, Coiny. I already told you this" I replied. quickly turning to fully face him. he seemed slightly startled but quickly regained his composure. he was about to say something, but I raised my hand. cutting him off. "You can quit asking if I'm fine if that's what you were about to say" I said sternly. "Actually. I was going to ask if you have found anything that could get rid of all those... things. for good" he said. my brow furrowed some, figured that question was coming sooner or later. everyone was relying on me to find a way to permanently stop these strange creatures from appearing. "I'm working on it still" I replied as I glanced at my notepad for a moment. the scribbled-out useless plan still visible. Coiny seemed to follow my gaze. his brow creasing with concern. noticing this I grabbed my notepad. flipping the page to one of the few remaining blank ones. "Hey, why not come take a small break? you look like you need one" I narrowed my eyes slightly, I was about to protest but Coiny grabbed onto my arm. dragging me out of the room. Coiny POV: I grabbed onto Golf balls arm before she could protest, dragging her out of the room. after all she really did look like she needed a break. the bags forming under her eyes was hard proof of it. I could hear her Mumble to herself in compliant, but I didn't pay much mind to it. we quickly walked through the halls. a few others greeting us as we passed by, Golf ball didn't seem to care very much, but did somewhat return the greeting. we soon arrived in the one of the main Lobbies, I could see Pin, Needle. and to my surprise, Firey. handing out some supplies to others. I hadn't seen Firey leave his room much sense this whole ordeal started. Pin took notice of us as she singled for us to come over, I could hear Golf ball mutter to herself as we walked over. "There you are. Next time you plan on wondering off please tell us" She said slightly scolding me, I nervously chuckled some "Yea... sorry about that" I turned my attention to Firey "Good to see you up and moving" Firey, who seemed distracted before. jumped slightly when I spoke. "Oh. yea. Needle asked for my help sense you disappeared as they were bringing stuff out of storage" he explained. I could feel Needle slightly Glaring at me as he spoke. but the glare changed to that of curiosity as she turned to Golf ball. "Oh! GB. you seem tired. are you okay?" she asked, somewhat concerned as the others turned to Golf ball. "I'm fine. can people please stop asking me that" she said coldly "here. have something to drink" Pin handed her a cup of Coffee. witch Golf ball quickly chugged down. "Whoa! not so fast! you're going to burn yourself" Golf ball finished the cup rather quickly as she set it down on a small wooden table. a look of pain quickly flashed across her face(N+C)
(Cont.) Must have been from how hot the coffee was. she spun around, slightly coughed some before turning back to us all. Pin and Needle's faces looked like one of concern. "Well. I've had my break that you so wanted me to have." she looked at me, a glaring expression plastered on her face. it actually made me feel slightly uneasy. "I'm going back to my lab to work on another plan. don't bother me unless-" her words were cut off as a loud blaring alarm sounded throughout the bunker. my eyes widening in fear. Golf ball POV: I saw Coiny's eyes widen with fear. while the rest seemed to tense up. just great, this is exactly what i needed right now. "Calm down. I'm sure it's just another false alarm" I said trying to calm the situation down. it didn't seem to really help them too much. I sighed as I began to head off to the security room, we have had false alarms before. so, I was hoping it was just another one of those. "Wait! don't!" I heard Coiny call out after me, but it was too late as I was already making my way there. I passed by Lollipop. who looked rather tense as she ran off to look for a safer area. it didn't take too long until I was close to the security room. "Alright, time to-" a loud, ear-splitting, Demonic sounding screech admitted from deeper in the hallways. I stopped dead in my tracks. slowly and shakily, I turned to the direction of the sound. no way. this one was real? did they actually manage to find a way inside? I tried to calm myself down. maybe that was just a frightened object? however, that theory was very quickly debunked as something shot out from the dark, it looked like a floating jaw. it's Toung handing out from the side as a pair of sharp teach clicked and chattered quickly. behind it was followed by this strange floating eye thing, attached to the top of its head looked like a long strand of hair? or perhaps it was a long, curled feather. two small wings floated by its side. I could feel myself shaking some as they launched at me at an alarming speed. I yelped in surprise as I managed to barley jump to the side. the two creatures slammed into the wall. leaving small dents in it. I wasted no time fleeing, running down a random direction. oh Tree, why did this have to be happening now?! behind me I could hear the jaw chattering. I didn't dare turn around, I already knew they were giving chase. Calm down and think! how do I get away?! I was trying so Hard to think that I didn't realize I ran straight into a corner until I hit the wall. Spinning around I looked for another exit. but I was completely cornered. I felt myself shaking slightly. The jaw launched at me. I closed my eyes. bracing for Impact and possible death. however it never came I heard something squeal in front of me. slowly I opened my eyes. right in front of me, was a big metallic looking creature... no, this was an Object! and a familiar one at that. the first ever missing case we had. Leafy! but. something about her looked... wrong. she was taller than before. Her arms and legs were bent in ways they should not be. and appeared much longer. the once small stem tail she had was longer than her body and sharp at the edge. her pupils looked like small dots in the center of her eyes and had blended into a single color instead of the normal two shades. I stood shocked as she held the jaw and eye creatures in her hand. slowly she began to crush them together. I could fear the Terrified. Pain filled squeals before... I felt my whole-body shudder in fear. it was too gruesome to watch. she snapped her attention to me when she was done. I let out a terrified yelp. was I about to die? slowly she approached me. I tried to back away but failed as I pressed myself fully against the wall. "W-wait! please don't!" I squeaked out in a feeble attempted to stop her from coming any closer. she surprisingly stopped for a moment. looking at me rather curiously before her arms shot out. she picked me up before I could even react and bolted down the hallway at an alarming speed.
