Purchased in 1981 from Norfolk Southern this engine was used as a parts source for the LTEX. however the engine lost only a fan, horn and a few other accouterments. it was leased to a few roads. in 1998 the recently started South Fork Railroad of PA would acquire it as there first engine. After working on mainline mine runs the engine was retired to work as the windber switch engine where it still works today. Plans call for the engine to be repainted and repaired for use on OCS trains
