Chapter 1 - Black Dove “Why?” I always ask myself. “Why must she be so.. rude?” I think as I gaze longingly out of the cave. My sister, White Dragon, was my friend… long ago, that is. It was about seven years ago. I had been flying to a new Hatching, a ceremony to celebrate the hatching of a new Pearltector. I would always attend them in order to show my gratitude for them protecting my pearl. But, mid-flight, White Dragon straight up SNATCHED ME! I swear, something’s wrong with her. She would never hurt her family, nevertheless me! I wish I could tell why she’s acting so… wrong. And soon.. I fear she will hurt the Deliverer. The Deliverer will be the not-so-lucky Pearltector to deliver my pearl to the Cave of Stone Foot, my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandmother. I will write back when the Deliverer has come. But for now, I bid you farewell.
