~ Soft voices could be heard, echoing around the gently lit cave of WindClan's camp. The cats who were up were half hidden, their pelts melting into the thick shadows that lined the caves. It was mid-afternoon, though most of the clan didn't know that, being fast asleep in their nests. And Dunebug was fast asleep as well, though admittedly not in a nest. Instead, her dappled fur took up space below the apprentices' and warriors' dens, where she had slept since the clans first arrived due to the rocking that plagued her body since leaving the boats. Tight spaces such as the dens only made it worse, though her clanmates didn't know that. No one knew anything about it. She barely knew anything about it except how it affected her. But affect her it would do no longer. The molly woke up to the familiar whispers, the steady gurgle of the nearby stream, but something was missing that was usually there. It took a moment for her to figure it out, but suddenly, it hit her: she felt like she was on land, finally, once again. She was still, just as still as all of her clanmates. Her dark eyes shot open as she started upwards, causing the two cats talking nearby to give her an apologetic look, assuming she'd been startled by a bad dream or their own conversation. Du paid them no mind as she got onto her paws ( quickly! Without unbalancing herself! ). She set a brisk pace towards the stream, thrilled at how no unknown force came to shift the ground beneath her or drag her down to one side. It was gone. It was really, truly gone. She made it to the stream, looking down at her own smiling face. When was the last time she'd smiled out of real joy, and not obligation? The answer to the question drained the cheer out of her expression. It was when she was with Snapdragonsigh. Of course it was. How could it not be? And suddenly, she was disgusted with herself. How could she be celebrating when xe still wasn't here? How could she dare /smile/, when she frequented a place that he could be no longer? How was she allowed to carry on here, when everything was touched by them? Even now that she could run again, hunt, fight without falling over? And oh, how much she'd missed it, being able to move freely. She could be fully independent, now, if she wanted to. Dunebug froze as the thought snuck up on her. She could be. Perhaps she needed to be. After all, now that she could function properly, what was keeping her here, in this place that echoed with the past? A past that was too painful for her to face? Certainly it wasn't friends, not in this clan of strangers. Not here, where no one knew her, truly connected with her. She turned away from the stream, her eyes settling on the Glowstone. She knew what she had to do now. ~
~ Du's MdDS is officially gone, y'all! Which, combined with Snapdragonsigh's passing, will cause her to leave the clan. Whether or not it's permanent idk yet, so I guess we'll just have to see! ~
