Even if America is going through hard times and is troubled by lies and confusion, there are still people who hold true to the morals this country was founded upon. (political comments will be deleted) This summer, I took a trip around this country and saw many beautiful parts of the USA. There were points in the journey where I felt [sadly] patriotic. I've had the idea for this art piece since the 4th of July and was inspired an artwork in one of @bodi3/@beond-'s art dumps. So I wanted to make an art piece showing the equality and diversity of Americans and the aspects of our flag. The children in the picture are dressed in red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag. Blue (worn by the girl in the middle) represents truth. Red (worn by the boy on the right) represents bravery or courage. And white (worn by the girl on the left) means purity. The American flag also has 13 stripes and 50 stars. The stripes represent the original 13 colonies that declared independence from Great Britain and the stars represent the 50 current states. America is largely inhabited by white people, like the girl in the middle. The boy on the right is African-American, or black, a group that's increasing in numbers, and the girl on the left is Native American, descended from the first people to live in America before the European settlers arrived. There are many other interesting races in America, such as Hispanics, Asians, and Pacific Islanders, but unfortunately, I only had room for three characters in the picture. I just want you to know that I am as supportive of those races as I am of the ones depicted in this art. Every person from all races has the freedom and rights of the Americans.
