Instructions

I like this program, it is very peaceful. Slowly, slowly, the clouds roll in. Be patient, maybe you'll see a shooting star. I often leave this running in another window while I do other work, and look at it once in a while to help de-stress. It's almost like sitting on the back porch at night. I hear crickets, do you? (Maybe I should really add some.) Cheats: It does some things, and if you un-mute it by typing 'm' it plays a little sound before doing them. And you can make some of those things happen by clicking.

Description

Drawing the clouds seems to suck up a lot of CPU, so I've added an option to turn those off: type 'c'. The moon's motion was too choppy, sitting still for so long and then suddenly jumping by one step. So now it does "subpixel" movement by shifting costumes. It is still discrete motion, but in much smaller steps, much smoother. I am particularly proud of the clouds. I have never actually lived anyplace with such an open horizon. I've always lived in places with a lot more buildings and trees. But doing that makes for a jumbled silhouette.
