Valentina Lenoir // She/Her // main antagonist she’s extremely observant, she can control a green flame she is considered powerful and intimidating because of her family and reputation, that’s why she doesn’t get expelled for her attitude she’s very intimidating but inside she’s just lonely and doesn’t know how to talk to people normally. she’s very smart and doesn’t know how to talk to people so she resorts to being mean. her studies matter a lot and she gets very good grades. although her parents are very big donors to the school, she earned her place by practicing very hard. i think that she could get easily manipulated into doing evil crap from a evil force with the promise of acceptance from her peers and family. power: manipulates a green flame that needs fuel (dry, flammable stuff) or else it dies out and valentina becomes very weak personality: pretty much everyone is scared of her, so she eventually just isolated herself from making any friends. instead, she has “loyal” minions that are clearly just scared of her. they would turn their backs on her in a second but sh really just wants a friend backstory: before she was mean and cold, she found an old spell book one day in a deserted shrine in the forests surrounding the school. she was there because she fled there, devastated, finally deciding that no one wanted to be her friend and she would never be good enough for her family. tears in her eyes, she felt a strange force pulling her toward the book. it seemed to be beckoning her name, so she cautiously opened it. it quickly flipped to a page by itself, leaving valentina with a nasty paper cut and a spell spread out on the pages of the book. the spell was clearly black magic, which was strictly prohibited at the school. the spell said that it would bond her to a spirit that, if she did exactly as it said, would grant her greatest wish. valentina hesitated, then read aloud the incantation. it took her a few tries because the script was in a strange language that valentina did not know. at last, a toxic-looking green fog seeped from the book, and something inside valentina realized she had made a terrible mistake. she was so blind with rage that she hadn’t realized how dangerous black magic is. she tried to run, but her body was in a trance and she couldn’t move. against her will, her arm raised and thrust out the finger with the paper cut. the fog swirled around it and started to enter the cut, which was agonizingly painful. valentina tried to scream, but she was still paralyzed. as the last of the green fog disappeared into her flesh, valentina blacked out and fell to the ground. she woke up in the infirmary, with nurses surrounding her. they told her they had found her at the edge of the forest, and that there was no shrine or book in sight. valentina could not tell them more about the book, or else she would bring shame to her family and risk being expelled for using black magic. with a splitting headache, valentina slumped back to her tower, shrugging it off as a bad dream. but as soon as she opened her dorm door, she froze in sheer terror as she saw the very same book as before, lying innocently on her bed. ever since that day, an evil spirit has pushed valentina around to do terrible things. the spirits goal is to end the good magic school forever, letting the evil win and conquer the world.
