Yesterday(In Canada) was the national day for truth and reconciliation. For those of you who don't live in Canada, you might not know what I'm talking about. The first people to live in Canada were actually the indigenous people, and these people were treated horribly. Then the government decided to take these children away from there families and put them in schools that were meant to wipe their culture from them. They were fed cabbage and oatmeal and faced abuse. Lots didn't return home.
