On your first remix, remove one of the blocks (backspace) and fill them with a color of your choice that isn't already claimed or white. The block has to be adjacent to an existing one 2. If this isn't your first remix, you can either claim an empty (white) tile or take someone else's tile. In both cases, the tile has to be adjacent to one of your tiles. Blocks need to be claimed by a user before you can take their tiles. Remember to change the tile count 3. If someone loses all their tiles, they are eliminated and cannot rejoin (on that account, at least) 4. Alt accounts needs to be a Scratcher, this is so people can't create a new account instantly after they get eliminated 5. If you quit the remix chain, blank your tiles in white.
