Introducing Microwavey Spreading the plague's getting repetitive, so why not add an exploding idea? Literally. Blows up near targets to spread the Infection around using the microwave fused into it and a ball of aluminum. Due to interaction events with metal and the Infection after the spread, it has evolved to use machinery to its advantage. When blown up, it releases small fragments of itself, which convert any organisms into an infected form.
