When Nova’s best friend Quill dies, she runs away to Dusk Valley, but she finds out that it was a rival wolf pack that had set the poison, fueling her with a spirit for revenge. She isn’t rescued by coyotes, making her have no respect for any fauna or flora. She felt abandoned by life, roaming in the hot plains hungry, thirsty, and skin and bones. By the time she reaches Dusk Valley, she was murderous. She stayed around the Tainted Lands, picking off animals caught in traps or any easy target. When she meets Eclipse, she is the one who tries to kill her. Eclipse, however, manages to overpower her and maim her seriously. She eventually didn’t have a mind of her own anymore. She mauled anything in her path, only to be attacked by a rabid coyote. She was already in a terrible state, chasing what her mind made her think was a deer off a cliff. She lay at the bottom, her life replaying in her mind. She realized what she had done. She was now tied to so many family’s stories by injuring their offspring. She eventually passed away like this and was rejected by StarPack. They send her back to attempt living again. *** A she-wolf licked her three-week-old pups gently. She looked at the last of her pups. A shiny white pelt with a black nose. She looked at her eyes which were a beautiful shade of green-gray. At that moment, she decided on her name. “Welcome, Nova.”
