Description

With the lowering international tensions between the Second Coalition and SATO and Dorman Pact powers, almost 5% of military strength has been allocated to a newer section of the army, the Domestic Guard. The Domestic Guard serves a variety of purposes, such as assisting law enforcement, monitoring the border (for smuggling and criminals), and serving as a military reserve in case of conflict. There are many benefits to joining the Domestic Guard, such as receiving the same pay as infantry, being exposed to much less danger than the majority of other army personnel, and requiring little knowledge and having much looser physical requirements, which has prompted many people to join. The size of the Domestic Guard has already swelled from about 100k units to nearly 300k in hardly a week, and is projected to grow to almost 700k before growth finally ceases. Unfortunately, due to the loose physical restrictions, only about 400k of said units could be reasonably translated to the greater military in wartime (genetic and physical problems such as asthma and overweightness) due to required training.
