Lore: After the Franco-Prussian war, Germany would work out a treaty with the French, taking Alsace-Lorraine and some other northern territories of it. Austria would be doing poorly, with the Hungarians in the empire wanting for freedom and a place in the parliament. Hungary would eventually break away from the Austrians resulting in a massive civil war with different ethnic groups also striving for independence. Germany, just after getting out of a war with the French wouldnt join in for a while, but after a staged Hungarian bombing preformed by the Austrians, Germany would declare war on the Hungarians with a viable casus belli. Austria and Germany would begin to send more and more troops to Budapest and other major cities, and begin to massacre the Hungarian people who were against the rule of the Germanic. They would eventually work out a deal with Serbia, Romania, Hungary and Austria in which Austria would cede occupied Bosnia and Croatia to them, and giving some of Transylvania to Romania, The Hungarians would be given more of a representation in the parliament. Both nations would be severely wounded from the war though, and a union would be proposed between the nations, the governments were for it and so was the Austrian and German people. After negotiations the union would be established officially forming the Austro-Prussian Union. Germany would begin to form relations with Spain and Italy, sending economic aid and signing a pact in which if a nation would declare war on one of the members, all of them would declare war on the nation. France, still salty about losing territory to the Germans would begin to mobilise their troops in preparation for an invasion, with help from their old rival Britain united under a common threat, Russia would also join the alliance. A Frenchman would be sent to assassinate the Kaiser of the German part of the empire, Wilhelm the Second. Once he was assassinated Sophia of Prussia would come into power and eventually declare war on France, in which Italy and Spain would be pulled into. Britain and Russia would both declare war on the powers. World War 1 would begin. The Germans would pass through Belgium to get to France, having faster tactics than the French and Belgian armies, Belgium would be captured and the push into France would begin, Italy would come in from the East, Germany from the north and Spain from the south. Seeing that they had 3 fronts to deal with, once the central powers pushed in far enough, the French had no choice but to surrender. Meanwhile on the eastern front Russia was making massive pushes into Austria and Germany, with both powers unable to push the Russian armies they would dig in and begin trench warfare. They would begin to stoke nationalism in Poland sending revolutionaries into the duchy and fighting against the armies, giving them the chance to push into Russia, the front would end with a stalemate with both powers agreeing upon a treaty in which Poland would be puppeted by Germany and in return the Germans would pay them 500m in reparations. Germany would begin to land ships in Britain and northern Scotland, they would push from both fronts and with the Irish revolting England was losing a lot of manpower, but they wouldn't give up to the central powers. Bombing campaigns in London would carry out killing thousands. Germans would begin to storm major British cities in the south, reaching London and beginning to siege it with artillery and early forms of tanks. But the British would hold out, the Germans would begin to massacre civilians including women and children, Scotland would begin to get a sense of national pride and would declare war on the British, Britain would be in shambles at this point and would surrender to the Germans, Germany would release Scotland and Ireland from the nation and would occupy England for 4 years after. The war lasted 9 years from 1912-1921. The year is currently 1924 the map is in.
