I need to tell SOMEONE this story, so-
(TW: several mentions of bl00d/bl33ding) So uh... I injured myself- Don't worry, it was an accident, and it's not all that bad, but it stings- You see, I was in Woodshop today working on a project with my project partner, and, while she was getting a pencil to mark our wood to be cut with the chop saw, I was measuring the wood to see if we could cut it exactly in half. What caused my lil injury happened during that time. When she came back, we marked the wood and I confirmed that we could make equal cuts. I sat down, and in doing so, noticed there was bl00d on my left thumb, my right pinkie finger, and my right pant leg, as well as various places on my left hand. Adrianna (my partner) and I went into panic mode. Right away, I ran to the shop's sink to wash the bl00d off my hands. While doing so, I noticed the bl00d was coming from my right pinkie, where it had been sliced open twice. After washing and drying my hands, I went to Mr. Inwood (my teacher) to ask for a band-aid (because you can't have an open wound in the shop for obvious safety reasons). I cleaned out the cuts with an alcohol wipe and bandaged it. I went right back to me and Adrianna's work space to see what happened that caused my pinkie to be sliced open. Adrianna and I examined our materials and work space to see if there was anything sharp. Turns out, our tape measure was broken on the tape itself, which is made of metal. I guess I didn't notice that until then. I'm alright for the most part now, although it stings a little bit and I can't get the bl00d off my pants. Other than that, I should be ok. (Although, the cuts were pretty deep, so I don't know how long I'll be ok.) Also, the band-aid is starting to make my pinkie lose feeling and it's making it cold- I think it might be too tight, but my cuts can't be uncovered as of now.
