Future Advanced Body Armor The program has its origins in a concept from the 2010s. The 1 Billion SGC program aims to achieve maximal ballistic protection against repeated pounding from common rifle rounds while keeping ergonomics at an optimal level. The porotype has been made, and is currently undergoing trial. So far, the prototype has proven to be successful in ballistic protection, however its cost has risen some concerns. There may be potential alternatives to the classified material.
