Use it like a real lift.

Title : A cheap, but a really good generic MRL hydraulic lift !!! Brand : Harrington Hiss AB. Year : 2012. Capacity : 630 Kg or 8 Persons. Serial number : 78 55 68 77 46 39. Buttons : DMG. Indicators : Harrington Hiss. Type : MRL Roped Hydraulic. Voice : FD4. Logic : Harrington H-310 microprocessor controller. Location : Undisclosed high school in Malmö, Sweden. Position of the pump and the logic cabinet : At floor B. Type of starter : Solid state with soft-starter. Other : This lift is just a bog-standard generic hydraulic ! But, it’s not boring at all, it goes at 1 m/s, it has a very quick startup for a hydraulic, the lift cab is well-built, it has a nice and reliable logic, it has a semi-intelligent levelling, (Thanks to the hole-punch-tape, the Hansen Hydraulisk’s 1rst Gen positioning system is similar to the hole-punch-tape) but it hasn’t pre-doors, the cab is properly supported by the 2 hydraulic pistons, the voice is loud, but nicer than the Lester voice, the chimes are nice but loud, the DMG buttons are flimsy but more nice looking than the Dewhurst buttons, the indicators are interesting, this thing looks like it was brand new (Very good maintenance), it runs smoothly and it has my favourite hydraulic machinery of the late 1990’s-present era : GMV !!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY !!! This is a cheap but AMAZING lift !!! And the swedish generics are much better than the english generics !!! It has also a quiet nice-sounding and modern-sounding pump. Also, Harrington Hiss is a multinational English-Swedish lift company and it’s called as « Harrington Lifts » in the UK, this company was founded in 1867 and the same year, a company which now makes boring lifts was founded and this company is STANNAH LIFTS !!! And Harrington lifts used to make their own water powered and traction lifts until 1920 when they starts to import and/or install lifts from other english or scandinavian brands only (Evans, Stannah, Asea, Deve, Thrige…). In 1953 they start to import and install lifts from every european countries plus Otis and they made they own lifts. In year 2002, they starts to make they own cheap lifts with they own parts and they also installs cheap lifts such as Electra Vitorias, ILE or TVC generics Kleemanns, Express Evans, Oronas, MacPuarsas, Stannahs and Oaklands. But they are also experts in lift maintenance and luckily, they had NEVER installed lifts with any Lester Controls parts !!! And they also installs Sodimas lifts since 2013 (A french lift manufacturer), they also installs Otis lifts, Schindler lifts, Kone lifts or ThyssenKrupp lifts since 2002. Now they have moved on to a whole new level. This is a pretty good lift company but Hansen Hydraulisk is much better !!! The school was built in 1960 but they have rebuilt the whole school in 2009-2012 because the old buildings were run-down and there wasn’t any lift in the former buildings (Now demolished) despite that the buildings has got 3 floors (Ground floor, first floor and second floor, same as the new buildings). There are 3 buildings in total because that school is rather small, same as before 2009-2012. There are 2 lifts in total, this one, and a 2011 Ecodisc installed by Harrington, all of these lifts serves all of the 3 floors. The buildings B and C have elevators but that’s not the case of the building A and all of these buildings are connected with footbridges and these aren’t run-down. This is the lift of the building B. This one is a 2nd generation of the cheap lifts from Harrington Hiss, the 1rst Generation was launched in January 2002 and discontinued the 23/12/2005 when the 2nd Gen was launched. Their own lifts were completely made with Harrington parts between 1953 and 1988. Everything was made by Harrington in their lifts which weren’t installed and rebranded by Harrington, including the cab, the doors, the bell, the buttons, the inspection control, the pump, the valve and the relay logic. Between 1988 and 2002, their lifts got older Schaefer 28 buttons, GMV pumps and valves and the logic are now their own digital logic instead of relays. These a bit are cheaper, but all of them have got a good chassis. The Harrington’s own lifts 1rst Gen are the worst ones as they are the cheapest ones, the logic is unreliable but it’s their own logic, the buttons are DMG B5 buttons and there is no full- chassis. The 2nd Gen ones are using nice-looking DMG BL buttons and these lifts are much more reliable and all of them have a proper full-chassis. Also, all of the 2nd Gen ones have their pump and their logic in a compact cabinet (Hydro MRL), all of the older ones needs a motor room. Only the freighters 2nd Gen ones aren’t MRL hydro. And all of the 2nd Gen looks very advanced, despite being quite cheap (Soft-starter, semi-intelligent levelling).
