Prologue A pale shape was huddled by the fresh kill pile, taking out a juicy fish. It was late at night, if he didn’t hurry and get to sleep his clan would catch him. Or worse, his mate. “Palefur,” a golden shape called. Palefur lost his balance and fell. Tumbling, until he eventually landed right in front of the shape. “Yes GoldenLeap?” He decided to play dumb. Goldenleap grumbled. Oh man. I hope she doesn’t know, He thought. “Everyone knows Palefur!” Her voice suddenly became a snarl, and Palefur flinched. “I suppose…” Palefur sighed “Even Glorysong?” Goldenleap blinked at him, and then she spoke in a softer tone. “Of course she knows, everyone does.” Her eyes suddenly blazed with fury. “With any luck Dappledleg will tell Plumstar every detail!” She spat. Palefur couldn’t help wanting to claw Dappledleg’s pelt out, he had always disliked Palefur for being a kittypet. A yowl sounded from the entrance to the camp, and the two warriors whirled around as they saw familiar cats. Goldenleap let out a hiss, “Thunderclan! Thunderclan is invading!”
