Windows Millennium Edition, or Windows ME, released Sept. 14, 2000, was a disaster operating system. The computers experienced repeated crashing and blue screens. Also, the desktop with links to the internet crashed all the time. As well, ScanDisk checked your hard drive every time your started your computer, even though it was fine. Windows XP is essentially what ME Should have been. And ME was often referred to as Mistake Edition.
