hoaqin fanart, tower of god | click to zoom basically what happened is I got a friend of mine to read tog and it reminded me of hoaqin, so I drew him, with some lighting. lighting was difficult though, admittedly hoaqin is both the easiest and most difficult character to color, on one hand because he's so completely white the colors are simple and can be easily reused across every object in the piece, on the other hand, that same fact makes it difficult to build visual distinction between different objects without lineart. (that and his face) draw him alot anyway ww i've been procrastinating actual things I should do (@quirkyillusions dmc and maybe reading my schedule for the upcoming school year) but I felt like drawing hoaqin lol and i've been really addicted to stardew valley (I started less than a week ago and i'm end of first year already) also, for anyone wondering why the thumbnail is in japanese, the reason is that his name can be written with 4 characters instead of 6 and therefore were going to be easier to read from a vertical standpoint. basically, I couldn't get english to look good and be legible (for the record, my japanese is really bad. I can barely speak any at all, so do not try and start a convo with me in japanese) (funnily enough a fair number of my projects end up with different language titles because of songs) #art
