James and Rayne lore, James is gaslighting Rayne again thinking they screwed up the gates and now things are all doomed, cause james kinda sick person to begin with, but having them being panicked by that something can get into their headspace and basically just give them daily nightmares no matter what time it is. Trying to talk certain sense into them, making them Petrified of certain things, so for example, the thing in their head made them have a night terror about an apple (just an example not real). Anytime they see an apple they start freaking out, could cause them to have panic attacks if they can’t escape it. And whatever bothers them most the thing in their head tortures them with it. Making them paranoid. But it can be managed, if they feel safe, or comfortable with something that helps mentally protect them, another example, Lizzy would help them with this, But Lizzy isnt here now is she? :) now now, james was out of his mind when he did this to rayne. You see, he blames most stuff on rayne, just for their existence. But, he blames them on their existence. Because they are the reason the meadows family is dead. All to protect a little itty bitty runt named hazel. The mother birthed Rayne. Died soonly after from the meds that were given to here. There goes Beta. Their father left to raise them in the lab. Died to a bullet threw the head during the escape protecting Rayne and the twins. There goes William. After all this whats left of the meadows are on the run, james hating Rayne’s guts. Their the reason their parents died. 4 years later he still hates them. Lizzy the only one that loves them and raised them. The scientist find them again. They run, Lizzy holding Rayne james protecting Lizzy. They stop in the woods. Lizzy hands James Rayne. James is confused. “No matter what, guard them with your life.” There was more words said that day. But to much for dear little james to handle. His sister now disappearing james running after her. Seeing her shot dead. Then she fades away, a green light appearing and absorbing into Rayne. They were the time keeper now. And there they are folks. The last selkis out there. For now. If one of them could mate and continue the family maybe they wont be extinct. They could save selkis kind. From that day forward something hit james like a rock.
