Echofur was a beloved kit that grew up with his sister, Ashheart. Rejected and unimpressed by his father, Fallenstripe, Echofur looked up to his mother and sister. As Echofur willingly tried to impress Fallenstripe, he discovered the plan that has been hidden from him his whole life. Fallenstripe plotted to kill the leader and take his place. Echofur warned the clan that his father would kill the leader. Fallenstripe had heard Echofur and furiously plunged at him. In the end, Echofur killed his father and had two scars to prove the clan he could become deputy, but when the leader dies, he is replaced by Maplewhisker. Echofur confusingly asks Starclan why this has happened, and they tell him that the former leader never trusted Echofur to be leader. Knowing that he must follow the code, he still respects that Maplewhisker should be leader.
