Fawnspots is the main Char. So there's a battle with the Dark Forest again. They lose again though. At the end of the battle, Fawnspots father, the leader, Beaverstar, dies. Ridgebush, her mate, who was deputy, is now leader. Knowing her mate is okay, Fawnspots looks for her sisters. She finds Dewheart's mate, Greeneyes, lying in front of Dewheart's body with her other sister and his four kits. Dewheart died saving the nursery from a hoard of Dark Forest cats.
