Description

I had a cool idea for a protocol handbook thing, although I'm not sure if I'll do more than this, it took a while... the best part is I don't have to worry about angering anyone, as it's literally just a protocol book lol- Protocol G-Sect: Ballistic missile defense systems and procedures STC ~ Surface-to-air Trajectory Computer ABM ~ Anti-Ballistic Missile TBM ~ Theatre Ballistic Missile M/IMBM ~ Medium/Intermediate-range Ballistic Missile PG-1: In the event of any TBM launch, an A16-STC is to be employed to identify the likely target of said missile, which will then be altered accordingly by a logic operator. Due to the short range and resultantly short flight time, TBMs are difficult to intercept and all personnel near the to-be-affected area are to instantly leave the danger zone. PG-1A: If the missile trajectory will break approximately one hundred kilometres at the peak of its arc, any nearby Iron Angel facilities are to begin the detonation/denial process in place of the ABM Platform, and even in failure will be put on high alert. PG-1B: In the event of vehicle targeting, there will likely be an ABM Platform nearby to attempt to intercept the tactical missile. If it fails to stop the missile, a retreat may be advised depending on how much damage the weapon caused. Tactical missiles in particular are very powerful for the cost and local effects. PG-2: In the event of a M/IMBM launch, all nearby RABM Platforms will be notified and will attempt to destroy the missile before the cutoff point is reached. If RABM Platforms are unavailable or initially fail, any nearby ABM Aircraft are to be scrambled to intercept and destroy the missile, as it will be out of range of the ABM Platforms. The aircraft will employ tracking cruise missiles, high-power machine guns, and will constantly broadcast information to nearby Iron Angel facilities. If the ABM Aircrafts fail to destroy the M/IMBM, it may be imperative for any surviving pilots to fly into the path of the missile to limit surface destruction. PG-2A: If the surface damage will be limited, sacrifice will not be necessary and one or more Iron Angel ABM weapons will be launched at the missile. If that also fails, any personnel with the chance of escape are to be immediately evacuated, and depending on the location nearby relief groups may be notified. PG-2B: Any missile strikes far enough within any Coalition borders will be grounds to retrace the missile trajectory to identify any launch sites, that will be summarily stormed and destroyed/disabled. PG-3: In the event of an ICBM launch, half of all available operators are to focus on calculating the trajectory and identifying the payload of the weapon. Once the rough target location is determined, all nearby Iron Angel, Tarkovsky Interceptors, and RABM Platforms will be alerted. PG-3A: If the payload is high explosive, Tarkovsky Interceptors will be deployed to destroy the missile before it can breach the atmosphere. If the Interceptors are destroyed or delayed, then Iron Angel and ABM Aircraft will be tasked with the missile's destruction. Once the precise target is identified, all RABM Platforms will be notified and will act as a last line of defense. PG-3B: If the payload is biohazardous, PG-3A will be followed, but without the Tarkovsky Interceptors and ABM Aircraft, in the interest of keeping personnel safe and free of illness. All unaligned and peacekeeping countries/organizations are to be notified of the payload type, and every possible Iron Angel system is to focus on the missile, disregarding any smaller-scale weapons. If the missile lands, then all possibly affected civilians and personnel are to remain where they (and out of danger), and the missile will be checked to identify what biohazard was being carried. If it was a disease, Protocol V-Sect is to be carried out accordingly, otherwise all contaminated peoples are to be transported to the nearest hospital facility to be treated as best they can. PG-3C: If the payload is nuclear, every single available system with any hope of stopping the ICBM is to be deployed and used against it. Nuclear MADS will be activated ONLY against the nation(s) firing the ICBM, and all unaligned and peacekeeping countries/organizations are to be notified of the nuclear warhead launch. If every system fails, then we can only hope to receive mercy in hell. All surviving regions will be militarized and will fully resist invasion or attempted attack. The Second Coalition will not strike first with a weapon of this caliber, but we will certainly not allow such a horrific action to go unchallenged. Glory to the Second Coalition.
