Development Update #6: General Platforming Engine Template & Battlefield So the general platforming engine been completed today. Running, Jumping, Idle and Ducking through platforms are done, along with general collision. I'm currently figuring out how to add collision with the stage. Yes, you can jump and bounce perfectly fine up and down, but come at a side angle and issues may arise. So that will have to edited. Mario's sprites are also programmed. Current timeline of development: - Battlefield and Fighter Template complete. - Mario complete. - Rules for standard matches are designed (Stock, Timer, Percentage) as well as Player 2 and CPU, creating a completely fuctional template in standard matches - Jibanyan in development. - Other characters and stages in development. Solo modes in development. This phase reaches its end when I feel satisfied with the roster and singleplayer modes. (E.G. May add a new Pokemon on top of the new Pokemon, so a fourth Pokemon. Not strongly considered, just a possibility along with other reps cut for series balancing.) - Miscellanious content such as trophies, an intro and flashbacks are added in. - Credits, Legal info, a intro machinima / possible YT trailers are made, along with other important pieces of content. - Final Adjustments and Release. - Possible tweaking for feedback like character balancing and bugfixes. Post development content may be added in flashbacks like possible achievments.
- This version of Battlefield takes sprites from the 3DS' design of the stage - The Battlefield sprites are custom - Platforms are passable! Wonderful! - Track is the Opening theme of Super Smash Bros. Gold, 'Multi-Man Melee Ver. 2' Proper crediting will be in game. Studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/30632618/
